The Santa Clara County Suicide & Crisis Hotline (SACS) is a 24-hour, toll-free, confidential suicide prevention hotline. Highly trained volunteer Crisis Phone Counselors are available 7 days a week for phone intervention and emotional support, to help individuals who are experiencing:
- different forms of crisis
- emotional or situational distress
- a need for ongoing support
- varying degrees of mental illness
- a need for general information or referrals
The Suicide and Crisis Services of Santa Clara County (SACS) provides a crisis hotline where highly trained volunteers are available 24 hours a day to talk with individuals in crisis. The goal of SACS is to assist in defusing and de-escalating the crisis and helping to return the individual to his/her usual level of functioning. Services are always available in English and in several other languages through a translator.
In addition, SACS provides a cost-free drop-in Survivors of Suicide Support Group (SOS) where adults who have lost a loved one to suicide can meet weekly to process some of the thought and feelings they are experience as a result of their loss.

YWCA Silicon Valley Crisis Intervention team serves as the first point of contact for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. A dedicated response unit provides confidential crisis counseling and support, including walk-in services to receive immediate resources, emergency assistance, and referrals.

Bill Wilson Center General Family Crisis Line
Bill Wilson Center provides services to more than 4,100 children, youth, young adults and families in Santa Clara County through our various programs. Additionally, we reach more than 30,000 clients through our Street Outreach and crisis line programs. Bill Wilson Center programs focus on housing, education, counseling, and advocacy.
