Rosecrance is a private not-for-profit organization offering behavioral health services for children, adolescents, adults and families throughout the country. With more than 45 locations in Chicago and Northern Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa, Rosecrance offers comprehensive addiction services for adolescents and adults, including prevention, intervention, detoxification, inpatient and outpatient treatment, experiential therapies, dual-diagnosis care and family education.

Mental health services for adults
Rosecrance provides an array of assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for adults. Our professional staff treats a variety of mental illnesses, from anxiety disorders and depression to schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder. We employ board-certified psychiatrists. At Rosecrance, our focus is on the assessment, treatment and recovery of children and adolescents, as well as support their parents and other family members. Rosecrance provides the most advanced and comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for childhood emotional disorders.
Adult substance abuse services
Your treatment program will include group, individual and family counseling. Group activities include educational/didactic lectures, team building/recreational activities, spirituality, education, counseling and 12 Step education.
Teen substance abuse services
Addressing a teen's struggle with substance abuse means understanding the emotional, developmental, physical, psychological, familial, social and cultural factors involved in their addiction. At Rosecrance, we have developed an evidence-based, 12 Step-based program that incorporates clinical, medical, educational and experiential therapies into a comprehensive individualized treatment plan.
Fees and Payment
Rosecrance Ware Center and Rosecrance Berry Campus accept most major insurance plans, as well as Medicaid and Medicare. Check with your plan administrator or insurance carrier to see if your plan covers our agency's services.
We currently offer a sliding fee scale for services not covered by insurance or other benefits.

A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
