Rooted in Catholic Social Teaching and the Gospel imperative, Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services are outreaches of the Catholic Church in Western Washington, under the leadership of the Archbishop of Seattle and the Boards of Trustees. CCS and CHS answer the Gospel call to loving and compassionate service with particular concern for the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death and the dignity of the human person. Our employees and volunteers come from many faith traditions to serve and support poor and vulnerable people through the provision of quality, integrated services and housing. Our focus is on those individuals, children, families, and communities struggling with poverty and the effects of intolerance and racism. We actively join with others to work for justice.

Services Offered
* Clallam, Jefferson & Kitsap Counties - Family Behavioral Health - Child & Family Mental Health - Bremerton Family Behavioral Health (FBH) is a family-centered agency that provides intensive "as needed" services to safely maintain children/youth with family or timely reunification from foster care to a permanent family that they can rely on for life. We believe there is nothing more important than ensuring that every child grows up in a loving family. And that means that children should never grow up in foster care or group care. Our treatment foster care resources are not permanent home for children; they are a resource that actively partners with the birth family to affect timely reunification for all children. Bremerton FBH is solely contracted with The Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and all referrals for services we provide must be approved by DCFS.

One quick last question. Who was seeking counseling today?
Do you know the reason they are not accepting clients?
Qualifying for assistance from Washington's program usually depends on the severity of your condition and financial circumstance. Read our full guide to Washington's program.
A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
