At Portneuf Valley Family Center Inc., we are of the belief that people who are struggling with emotional and/or behavioral issues can reach a level of recovery that will enable them to live happy, constructive lives despite the problems they are facing. Sometimes we need the caring support of trained professionals in recognizing that path to recovery. This process of recovery is a unique journey for each individual. The services we provide begin as a partnership where each consumer is encouraged to actively participate in the planning and implementation of treatment goals.

Services Offered

Counseling/Psychotherapy
A method of treating and managing emotional distress, psychiatric disorders, behavioral concerns, and traumatic events through the use of evidenced-based psychotherapeutic modalities that focuses on behavioral and cognitive aspects of a participant's abilities. Some of the issues that are addressed through these services are: Symptom management, anxiety, depression, suicide ideation, conflict resolution, relationship problems, social phobias, eating disorders, emotion regulation, trauma, grief and loss, women's issues, behavior management, sexual addictions, and other emotional, cognitive and behavioral problems.

Substance Abuse Treatment
The provision of individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, case management, assessment, education, and other services to eliminate or reduce alcohol and substance use and arrest, reverse or reduce problems associated with alcohol or substance abuse, or both. (IDAPA 16.07.20.012.18). The treatment provided by PVFC is outpatient and will be limited to individual and group counseling and supportive education including prevention, treatment and supported recovery.

Community Based Rehabilitation Services (CBRS)
CBRS is a home or community-based program available to adults who are recovering from a Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, or that promotes recovery in a child or adolescent who has a Serious Emotional Disturbance that promotes resiliency. CBRS professionals also assist the member/consumer to integrate with his/her community, and provide services aimed at helping the member improve his/her quality of life.

Fees and Payment

Patients/Consumers will not be denied services based on inability to pay and discounts are available based on family size and income.
