Services Offered

Adult Services for Psychiatric Health and Wellness

Serious and persistent behavioral health challenges result from brain disorders that create a chronic medical condition. Just like other chronic medical conditions (diabetes, heart disease, COPD, etc.), people with serious and persistent behavioral health challenges can be treated successfully and can live full, productive, healthy lives. Compass Health offers a complete continuum of services and supports for patients with the most serious behavioral health challenges.

Partnership With Families

Compass Health's Partnership with Families program engages children and youth who have a serious emotional disorder and their families with the goal of keeping children and youth safe, at home and in school, working toward becoming productive members of the community.

School-Based Mental Health Services

Compass Health's School-Based Mental Health program is designed to embed behavioral health expertise and support into the school setting with the goal of keeping children and youth in school.

Prevention and Early Intervention

Students in Kindergarten-8th grade participate in prevention programs that provide education on critical age appropriate topics. The sessions are designed to help children develop new skills, and encourage children to make safe and healthy choices for themselves and others. Among the programs provided are: Personal Safety, Healthy Dating Relationships, Violence Prevention, Bullying & Teasing, Cyber Bullying, and a 6th grade specific program titled - Changes & Choices which covers a wide range of important topics. Prevention programs are being delivered in St. Charles, Warren, Lincoln, and Franklin County schools.

SOC-CESS, System of Care: Community for Early Signs and Symptoms is for youth ages 9-17 & their families. A System of Care (SOC) is a group of local organizations that wraps supports around youth & families. SOC-CESS is in a SOC providing early screening and identification for youth who are potentially at risk for experiencing psychosis. The Missouri Department of Mental Health is working with three clinics to build up the local communities' SOC.

Fees and Payment

Sliding Fee Program

Compass Health's sliding fee program is designed to reduce barriers to accessing health services by offering outpatient services at a discounted fee to those that qualify. The sliding fee scale applies to patients without health insurance. Compass Health's sliding fee discount schedule of fees is based on household size and the poverty guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under authority of 42 U.S.C. 9902(2), with approval from the Board of Directors.

The discount schedule is updated annually based on changes to the poverty guidelines. As mandated by federal rules governing
FQHC's, to qualify for the sliding fee program patients must:
- Complete the Sliding Fee Scale Eligibility Application form (includes information on all household members)
- Provide the required proof of income for all household members
- Patients cannot receive the sliding fee discount until they have completed all of the required paperwork and have been enrolled by a Registration Specialist.
