The Lower Shore Clinic offers evidence-based interventions such as Medication Assisted Treatment(MAT) in the form of Vivitrol, Naltrexone, Campral and Antabuse, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and neurofeedback training. In addition, individuals often need ongoing intensive supports once sobriety is obtained; Go-Getters offers crisis housing, residential rehabilitation, and community supports to help with this transition.

Crisis Services - Beacon Place offers a safe harbor and sanctuary for adults experiencing a psychiatric crisis. As a voluntary alternative to hospitalization, Beacon Place provides short term Residential Crisis Services in a community-based setting 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
Substance Abuse Treatment - Dually diagnosed clients wish to be free of addiction and symtoms of mental illness but don't recognize behaviors that undermine their efforts.We assist members in managing mental health and addictions issues to lead stable and productive lives. Peer Connection trains people in a peer-guided model with a unique language. Our members are taught to recognize self-defeating patterns that lead to instability and relapse. A group process stimulates awareness of these behaviors and encourages the devolopment of alternate solutions. We provide the setting, opportunity, and support for people wrestling with mental illness and substance abuse to lead manageable lives again.
Young Adults Services - Our focus is to provide structure and a sense of belonging to young adults with mental illnesses to help them acquire the skills needed to live integrated lives within the community. To provide necessary encouragement and support to their recovery, health, and well-being, enhance quality of life, reduce symptoms and build resilience and improve functioning.
Outpatient Mental Health Services - Adults in need of services are assessed by clinical staff and also receive a psychiatric evaluation which includes history, mental status examination, and diagnosis. No on is turned away for the inability to pay. A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
