Worth Metroplex, to face complex challenges created by duality of culture and lack of appropriate medical and social services. Our long-term vision is to develop a community of people who are thriving and striving to maintain a harmonious family structure by offering counseling and education to prevent marriage discord, domestic violence and child abuse. MCCHS provides medical and social services to all indigent residents of Dallas/Ft. Worth area irrespective of Race, Religion and Country of Origin.

Domestic Violence - The Muslim Community Center for Human Services (MCCHS) "Roshni" Domestic Violence Program's main objective is to promote healthy and harmonious family relationships in the Asian, Middle Eastern, and African immigrant communities. We promote the empowerment of women to confront and overcome the cycle of domestic violence and exploitation; help the victims and survivors of domestic abuse improve their access to services, and increase community awareness of various forms of violence.
* Psychological Abuse - threats of bodily harm, taking away children, killing spouse or self, control of finances, food or medication, and restriction of socialization, even with family members
* Emotional and Verbal Abuse- cursing, screaming, and degradation by constantly criticizing spouse's thoughts, feelings, and opinions
* Physical Abuse - hitting, kicking, punching, choking, burning, or causing lacerations or fracture
* Sexual Abuse - forcing unwanted sexual activity.
* Financial Abuse - Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.
Mental Health/ Counseling - MCCHS offers treatment to a variety of patients with mental health problems. Incidents of mental health issues are high among immigrants and there are very few charitable clinics offering mental health services. MCCHS is one of the few clinics to offer these services. Majority of patients seen in our clinic are suffering from depression and stress related anxiety. Marital and Premarital counseling is also provided as a part of mental health services.

A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
