KIDS
SART West Valley SART Center
Supported by First 5 San Bernardino and Behavioral Health funding, a specially trained trans-disciplinary team of Agency professionals including mental health therapists, psychologists, pediatrician, and a registered nurse provides Screening, Assessment, Referral, and Treatment for children under the age of seven. We work with children with, anxiety, extreme shyness, aggression, lack of focus, developmental problems and other behavioral and emotional challenges.
EIIS Early Identification and Intervention Services
Linked with our SART program, EIIS includes a range of home, school, and clinic-based services for children under the age of nine who could benefit from social skills, behavioral intervention, and/or enrichment activities. This program is open to all kids under the age of nine who are residents in San Bernardino County.
YOUTH
CIS Children's Intensive Services
The Children's Intensive Services Program (CIS) provides short-term, intensive services for children and youth who are experiencing extreme difficulty with emotional and behavioral needs. CIS are provided in the setting where the child or youth is having the most difficulty such as home, school or community.
SAP Student Assistant Program
SAP provides prevention and early intervention services to school aged children (K-12) and their families. We work in schools and the community to identify and minimize barriers to learning. We identify students who are stressed, at-risk or displaying signs of high-risk substance use and/or mental health risks.
SATS School Aged Treatment Services
SATS provides Mental Health services for children of school age who have MediCal. Services are provided at our clinic or at select school sites.
SBC School-Based Counseling
SBC is a collaborative program involving teachers, parents, students and the Agency counselor. The student meets with a counselor at the school site where the Agency provides services. Parents are included in the assessment and are encouraged to be part of the ongoing counseling process.
ADULTS
GMH General Mental Health
Provides outpatient counseling services to individuals, families, and groups through contracts with the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health (DBH). Under government guidelines, persons using DBH services must meet specific standards for medical necessity. General Mental Health services are provided at our Ontario facility as well as in community locations including schools, and clients' homes. Each person using DBH services has a Case Coordinator and a Coordinated Care Plan that is reviewed regularly to ensure the highest quality of care. This program serves consumers ages 8 years and up.
OLDER ADULTS
OACS Older Adult Community Services
Specially trained staff members provide in-home and community-based mental health assessment, treatment services, and psycho-educational presentations and specialized training for other service providers.

Children in San Bernardino County with Medi-Cal and some children with other insurance may be eligible, or children without insurance can receive services at no cost.
The Agency provides low-cost community mental health services in West San Bernardino County.

A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
