Mental Health Services
We offer many services to help adults and children who are struggling with their managing and improving their mental health on their own.
*Adult Services Offered: We help adults who are dealing with a mental illness. If you think you or your loved one needs help, call us for an initial appointment at no cost. Our friendly staff will ask you questions about what is going on with you and your life. If you fit our admission criteria, you will be scheduled for an appointment with our psychiatrist. Some of the services we offer to help you into recovery include: tools and skills that help you take charge of your recovery. Counseling Professional guidance by licensed therapists to help individuals resolve personal and emotional conflicts. The therapist helps to identify emotions, attitudes, and behaviors that get in the way of coping with daily problems. Individuals learn skills to solve new problems that arise even after counseling ends.
Case Management Our case managers link individuals to other community resources to help with recovery in all areas of life.
Children Services Offered:
We treat children with any mental health diagnosis. Raising a child with a mental health disorder is often difficult and stressful for the entire family unit. Parents may not know how to address the special needs of their child, or family relationships may be stressed and have conflict. This is why we offer help to caregivers as well as to the child. Some of the services we provide for children and adolescents with a mental health diagnosis include:
Counseling Professional guidance by licensed therapists to help the family resolve personal and emotional conflicts. The therapist helps to identify emotions, attitudes, and behaviors, for both the child and caregivers, that get in the way of coping with daily problems. Individuals learn skills to solve new problems that arise even after counseling ends. Case Management Our case managers link families to other community resources to help with recovery in all areas of life. They can also attend school meetings and help to make sure the child receives appropriate accommodations at school.
Substance Use Disorders Services
For over 25 years, our facility has helped thousands of Texas residents overcome addiction and live healthy, satisfying lives. We understand each person has their own unique needs; that is why we currently offer 6 different substance abuse programs, all staffed with trained and friendly professionals.
Each program has specific screening tools to determine if treatment is needed, what type of treatment is needed, and if other services could be beneficial. We also have residential treatment services (rehab) and outpatient treatment services for both adolescents and adults.
*The Co-Occurring Psychiatric and Chemical Dependency (COPSD) program provides services to those who have a mental illness and addiction issues. Services include individual counseling, case management, and referrals to outside resources. All of these help the client stay drug/alcohol free while managing the symptoms of their mental illness.
Fees and Payment
We accept insurance, Medicaid and Medicare as well as provide services to those who are medically indigent on a sliding fee scale. In many cases, this allows for little to no cost to the client.

A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
