MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
Emergency Crisis Services These services are designed to provide immediate intervention for individuals experiencing emotional crisis.
Outpatient To assist you in your recovery process, we offer an array of Mental Health services. Our team of professionals will work with you to develop a plan which is individualized and your services may include individual, family and group therapy, as well as medication management through our consulting psychiatrist.
Inpatient The program also maintains current agreements with state and private hospitals for both short and long term inpatient hospitalizations.
Community Stabilization We offer outreach case management, medication management, daily structure and support, life-skills training, development of vocational skills and residential resources.
Prevention/Education We offer information in general public forums or in specific educational settings to enhance recognition of mental health issues, promote sound mental health, develop skills in the mental health field, and/or prevent development of mental illness
Screening/Assessment The use of diagnostic interview and other relevant mental health skills to assess the service needs of people, and to initiate or modify treatment plans or to make referrals as appropriate. Consideration is given to a full range of inpatient treatment programs. Special Programs We have trained, dedicated staff who specialize in the services we offer to children, older adults and minority populations. In addition, we use consulting services in some cases to ensure that you receive the most appropriate services for your unique situation.
DRUG & ALCOHOL TREATMENT
Evaluations Our licensed staff is available to assist you in obtaining an alcohol/drug evaluation to determine treatment needs. If you are ready to make a change, we are here to help with your recovery process. Outpatient Following an evaluation, your Chemical Dependency Professional (CDP) will review treatment recommendations with you. If appropriate, your treatment may include outpatient services, which involves individual and group sessions.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Your treatment plan may indicate a need for our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), which is an alternative to inpatient treatment for some patients. IOP consists of (72) hours of State certified and Agency approved education and group therapy sessions. Relapse Prevention /Aftercare This continuum of care is offered so each patient has a strong recovery system in place. Aftercare group sessions are offered during the day and early evenings to assist patients with work schedules. Alcohol/Drug Information School (A/DIS) An (8-12) hour alcohol/drug education class is offered at various times throughout the year. Both English and Spanish A/DIS classes are available.
Fees and Payment
DSHS Provider One Card or Private Insurance: If you have private insurance, we will bill your carrier in most cases. Clients will not be denied services based on their inability to pay. OBHC offers a sliding fee discount based on family size and income.

A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
