*NOVATO YOUTH ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS Our programs for a lifetime work together in a comprehensive way to support the academic, social-emotional, physical and behavioral needs of youth.
Our one-of-a-kind facility features a full-sized indoor gym, art studio, library with computers, commercial size kitchen and dining room, state-of-the-art playground, outdoor garden, fully equipped game room, and counseling rooms.

*YOUTH & FAMILY COUNSELING Our Youth and Family Counseling Program offers a variety of programs that help adults and families deal with challenges at every stage in life.
Get relief from stressful situations, learn new communication skills and gain better understanding of yourself and your relationships
COUPLES COUNSELING
Couples therapy is highly effective in helping two people build new communication skills in order to regain a sense of connection. With a trained counselor in a safe environment, couples can begin to identify stumbling blocks and break down the repeated patterns of behavior that erode relationships over time. With coaching, a couple can begin to replace these negative patterns with healthy ways of interacting that will improve understanding, connection and intimacy.
MENTAL HEALTH INTERNSHIPS Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, this position is responsible for performing therapy in a manner that is consistent with the legal and ethical standards set by the professional field and the North Marin Community Services' Mission.
FREE TEEN COUNSELING AND HEALTH EDUCATION Each Monday from 1:30 - 5:00, the Novato Teen Clinic offers a free, confidential drop-in clinic for teens ages 12-21 to access reproductive and behavioral health care. We test for pregnancy, sexuNovato Teen Clinically transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV. We also provide birth control, condoms, mental health counseling, and pelvic exams for those who are experiencing symptoms
APOYO EMOCIONAL North Marin Community Services provides services to address the behavioral health needs of un/underserved communities and to increase access to substance use services for Spanish-speaking women, the PEI Promotores Project increases the capacity of promotores (community health advocates) by: -Providing emotional support to Latinos -Connecting people to resources and referrals

A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
