Outpatient Services - Mental Health Therapy and Psychiatric ServicesThe Woodlands Outpatient Department provides skilled mental health therapy to address a variety of challenges.
These Services Offered:* All Mental Health Therapists are Master Level Social Workers licensed by the State of Ohio. * Services are available for adults, couples and children ages 5 and up. * Several types of evidence based therapy are offered; including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Therapy, and Strength Based Therapy. * Our therapists are also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) an evidence based practice model for trauma treatment that reduces the long-lasting effects of distressing memories by developing more adaptive coping mechanisms. * Couples and Group therapy services are also offered.
Psychiatric Services The Woodlands is also pleased to offer psychiatric medication management services. Outreach Services - Education and Prevention Programs The Woodlands Outreach Department provides educational programs to develop knowledge and skills in specific areas for adults, youth and families.
Outreach services are provided by specially trained Social Workers licensed by the State of Ohio.
Participants in outreach programs can be court or community referred to a small group, school based, or seminar setting.
These Services Offered:Helping Children Succeed After Divorce: Families going through a divorce face challenges. This seminar, created by The Woodlands in conjunction with Nationwide Children's Hospital curriculum, focuses on positive co-parenting for individuals going through a divorce.
Expect Respect: Promoting healthy dating relationships among teens. This school based program provides teen dating violence prevention and education.

Medicaid, Medicare, and most insurances are accepted. We also have some funding available to meet the costs of services for individuals without insurance.

Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
