Oaks Integrated Care
Oaks Integrated Care is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, adults and families living with a mental illness, addiction or developmental disability.
Outpatient Counseling Services Outpatient services including individual and family counseling, intensive treatment and substance abuse programs help individuals and families make adjustments to life to resolve conflicts, better cope with challenges and achieve goals. Programs are offered in convenient locations throughout southern and central NJ.
* Adult, Child and Family Counseling Supportive, compassionate counseling for children, adults and families to improve emotional and behavioral well-being at home, work, school and in the community.
* Co-occuring Outpatient Services Treatment for adults dually diagnosed with a mental illness and substance use disorder. Services include comprehensive screening and evaluation, trauma informed individual, group and family therapy, family education and support, medication management, health coordination and case management.
* Intensive Outpatient Treatment and Support Services (IOTSS) A more intensive level of care including individual, group and family therapy, case management and medication management.
* Involuntary Outpatient Committment Prescribed, community-based, mental health services under court order to individuals in Camden County with a serious mental illness and frequent users of inpatient services and/or Crisis Screening Services.
* Substance Abuse Outpatient Services Treatment for adults in recovery from addiction to drugs and alcohol. Services include comprehensive screening and evaluation, trauma informed individual, group and family therapy, family education and support and medication management.
Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) PACT provides comprehensive, integrated rehabilitation, treatment and support services to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness, who have had repeated hospitalizations and are at serious risk for psychiatric hospitalization.
Developmental Disability Services Oaks provides a full spectrum of individualized services for adults with developmental disabilities in our community. Residential and day treatment programs help adults reach greater levels of wellness and independence in an encouraging, supportive environment.
Addiction Services Addiction services including Enhanced Care Management, ambulatory detoxification, co-occuring outpatient counseling, partial care services and the Opioid Overdose Recover Program (OORP) promote recovery and wellness in a comforting environment to restore quality of life.
Crisis Stabilization Services Get the help you need, when you need it. Early Intervention Support Services (EISS), Crisis Screening and mobile outreach provide 24/7 emergency evaluation, support, stabilization and follow up care.
Child and Family Services
Counseling Services Oaks offers supportive, compassionate outpatient counseling to children, adults and families in convenient locations throughout southern and central NJ. Crisis Stabilization Services Crisis intervention services provide 24/7 emergency outreach to children and families in times of emotional distress or mental health crisis.
Partial Care Services From a specialized pre-school program for children experiencing emotional and behavioral issues, to family assistance for parents challenged with mental illness, our partial care programs offer compassionate, effective mental health services.
Foster Care and Adoption Services Oaks provides supportive services such as mentoring, respite and counseling to foster and adoptive families in order to stablize the living situation and promote healthy, emotional growth.

A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
