Outpatient Services The Outpatient Addiction Treatment Services of Carrier Clinic offers comprehensive drug abuse and alcohol addiction treatment to patients and their families when the severity of addictive disease does not require residential treatment. The treatment approach is based on the 12-Step philosophy in tandem with an individualized evaluation and treatment plan for his or her specific needs - one that focuses on understanding the disease concept of addiction, and the need for relapse prevention skills.

Alumni Programs The purpose of each Alumni program's monthly meetings and special events is to support graduates in making the transition from treatment into recovering life by providing support, fellowship and encouragement.
Family Support Addiction affects everyone in the life of a person with a substance abuse problem and can be very difficult to understand for both the addicted person and the family. We offer family support that is vitally needed in our Tuesday night sessions, which specifically focus on the recovering individuals and their families.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) At Blake Recovery Cente, a NJ addiction treatment center, our IOP program offers complete addiction and co-occurring disorder treatment to patients and their families when the severity of addictive disease does not require residential treatment.
Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) Electroconvulsive Therapy is most often used to treat depression with psychosis, Bipolar Disorder, and treatment-resistant Schizophrenia. It is also helpful in the treatment of other disorders that have not responded to medication, such as Catatonia and chemical imbalances.
Addiction Treatments Treatment and support are critical to regaining control from alcohol addiction, illegal drug addiction, prescription drug addiction, and other substance use disorders. Addiction is a disease that produces biological and psychological symptoms and dramatically affects the addict, as well as his or her loved ones. There is hope in treatment.
Adolescent Services East Mountain Youth Lodge offers residential treatment for adolescents 13-18 years of age suffering from psychiatric, behavioral, and learning issues. The program provides comprehensive 24-hour clinical, therapeutic, and educational treatment.
Inpatient Services Our Inpatient Services are available to adolescents, adults with psychiatric conditions, adults with dual diagnosis, and older adults.
Detox Programs Our comprehensive detox programs provide medically-monitored detoxification (ASAM Level 3.7) and residential rehabilitation care for individuals suffering from illegal and prescription drug abuse, as well as dependence on and addiction to alcohol. We strive to help all patients safely withdraw from dependent substances.
Free Programs Carrier Clinic is pleased to offer a variety of FREE mental health and addiction groups and services throughout the year that include ongoing group meetings, special screening events plus educational seminars.

A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
