We offer comprehensive alcohol and other drug abuse services for community residents of all ages. We believe that treatment is an avenue towards recovery which provides a foundation for a lifetime of sobriety, serenity, and spirituality.
Services Offered
Adult Outpatient Counseling - Our Adult Outpatient Program offers a wide variety of services to meet the varied needs of individuals and families dealing with substance abuse, dependence, or related high risk behaviors. Adult and adolescent services provide a variety of treatment models and evidence-based practices. Models include Cognitive Behavioral Training (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Biological Psychological Social Spiritual and Experiential Model (BPSSEM), Rational Behavior Training (RBT), Art therapy, and educational components regarding behaviors and biological functioning related to substance use. Treatment is based on individual needs and is assessed throughout treatment.
Youth Outpatient Counseling - Our Youth Outpatient Program offers a wide variety of services to meet the unique needs of adolescents and their families dealing with substance abuse, dependence, or related high risk behaviors.
Fees and Payment
Medicaid Insurance - If we are able to verify your Medicaid coverage, we will file all Medicaid claims for you. There are no additional charges to you for approved treatment services.
Insurance - If we are able to verify your insurance coverage, we will file all claims for you. However, you will be responsible for any deductibles, co-payments or charges not covered by your insurance company.
Sliding Fee Scale - Fees may be reduced according to set scales based on your household size and income. Complete documentation of household income is required and must be provided at the time of service to be eligible. There may be certain programmatic or flat fees that cannot be adjusted.
A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
