We help over 3,500 individuals each year and reach over 8,000 additional residents through community educational programming. Services Offered
Mental Health Therapy - We provide counseling and psychotherapy for you to discover solutions to the problems you face. Through talking about your problems with one of our therapists you can discover new ways to understand your difficulties, develop new skills to help you cope with life's demands, improve your relationships with the people around you and learn to feel and function better. We offer individual, family, martial therapy and group therapy.
Group Therapy - We offer group therapy for individuals who want a shared therapeutic experience with others who are working through similar issues. Some programs we offer are Anger Management, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Depression, Life Skills, Anxiety, Stress Management, and much more. All our group participants are expected to keep information shared confidential.
Psychiatric Services - Our services prescribe and monitor the use of medication as one way of dealing with serious symptoms that are part of many mental health troubles. We provide these services to center clients, upon a referral from their primary clinician. In some cases, the psychiatric service program assists with medication education and the administration of self-medication. The medication use today are very effective, and a significant percentage of individuals experience a reduction of symptoms and an increase in their quality of life especially when medications are combined with other treatments.
Case Management (CPST) - Adult Case Management, also known as Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment services (CPST), is a collection of services that can assist you and your family. We focus on assisting you in identifying and accessing services such as medical, psychiatric, social, financial, and educational. CPST services are usually long term, ongoing, and designed to make sure that you receive the kind of care and service you need in order to live a more satisfying life.
Children's Case Management - Children's Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment services (also known as Children's CPST or Children's Case Management Services) are ongoing types of mental health service designed to make sure that children with complex, multiple needs receive the kinds of care and services that will allow them to continue to live at home and function at their best. Children's CPST services focus on locating and coordinating all the types of services that such children may need from not only the Counseling Center, but from other health professionals, schools, courts and social agencies.

Fees and Payment
Services are provided on a nondiscriminatory basis and can be arranged by calling any office location. A sliding fee scale is available. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and most private insurances. We are also a nonprofit agency.

A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
