Our services help children who've been abused or traumatized, families in crisis, and individuals battling mental illness and addiction. * Children, Youth & Family Services *

Mental Health Services - Mental illness affects 10% of children and adolescents in the United States. Many of these children experience some difficulty as they grow from infancy to adolescence. These difficulties can cause behavioral problems, anxiety, depression, uncontrollable anger and even suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Additionally some children need help after experiencing trauma in their life and have much to gain by receiving early intervention and adequate care when facing these struggles.

Substance Abuse & Co-Occurring Services - The Helen Ross McNabb Center provides an array of services for adolescents dealing with substance abuse and co-occurring issues. These services range from prevention to residential services.

Juvenile Justice Services - The Helen Ross McNabb Center provides a continuum of care for youth involved in the juvenile court system. Services include case management, counseling, and crisis intervention.

* Adult Services *

Mental Health Services - The Helen Ross McNabb Center offers a full array of programs for mental health care, addiction and co-occurring treatment, recovery and social services to meet the needs of adults in our community. Our staff of qualified mental health and addictions/recovery professionals interacts daily with our community partners such as psychiatric hospitals, physicians.

Outpatient Services - The Helen Ross McNabb Center provides outpatient mental health services at clinics located throughout East Tennessee. Outpatient mental health services are provided to adults who have a significant impairment in functioning related to a mental health diagnosis. Services include psychosocial assessments, therapy, medication services, and case management. The goal is to improve the client's overall functioning and to help identify any barriers that compromise the client's emotional stability.

Behavioral Health Safety Net - The Behavioral Health Safety Net of Tennessee is a program created by the State of Tennessee and the Tennessee Department of Mental Health/ Substance Abuse Services (TDMHSAS) to provide mental health treatment to individuals who have no access to health care due to lack of health insurance. The Behavioral Health Safety Net Program provides outpatient medication management, community-based case management, and individual therapy services. The program also assists participants in obtaining their psychotropic medications at no out-of-pocket cost via Pharmaceutical Assistance Programs (PAP's).

Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) - is designed to help adults with severe mental illnesses reduce or eliminate their symptoms, function in the community, live independently and reduce hospitalization. The program provides intensive, direct care and services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to these clients. Services are delivered primarily in the home and in the community, which enhances accessibility and the comfort level of clients.

Psychiatric Rehabilitation - The Psychiatric Rehabilitation program assists adults that are TennCare participants and who have a mental health diagnosis, by providing support and skills to help them function independently and successfully in the environment of their choice. The program promotes independent living and improving skill levels in educational, social, prevocational and leisure skills. We offer courses that encourage and improve leisure/social and interpersonal skills, daily living skills development, and vocational development.

we promise to serve all patients, offer discounted fees for patients who qualify and not deny services based on a person's: race, color, sex, national origin, disability, religion, or sexual orientation.
