Solutions For Life is a private, non-profit organization that operates with the assistance of federal, state, and local funding, as well as client fees and insurance. Solutions For Life provides mental health and substance abuse services to Converse and Niobrara Counties.
We maintain accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). We also comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPPA), and regulations promulgated there under (42 CRF Parts 160 and 161) and the Public Health Service Act (42 CFR Part 2) dealing with confidentiality of alcohol and drug abuse records.

Individual Therapy -- Individual therapy is a collaborative effort between you and your therapist. Our goal is to provide an open, supportive, and confidential environment for you to address the issues that are concerning you.
Family Therapy
Family therapy services are provided to help family members improve communication and resolve conflicts. Family therapy can help you improve trouble relationships with your spouse, children, or other family members. You may address specific issues such as marital or financial problems, conflict between parents and children, or the effects of substance abuse or mental illness on the entire family. Marriage Therapy
Also called couples counseling can help couples in all types of intimate relationships (heterosexual, homosexual, married or not) recognize and resolve conflicts and improve their relationships. Some couples seek marriage counseling to strengthen their bonds and gain a better understanding of each other.
Marriage counseling can also help couples who plan to get married. Specific issues to address include: communication problems, sexual difficulties, conflicts about parenting, financial problems, anger, infidelity, divorce, etc.
Group Therapy
These services can be provided at the office location or within the community.
Anger Management -- Anger management is a process of learning to recognize signs that you're becoming angry, and taking action to calm down and deal with the situation in a positive way. Anger management doesn't try to keep you from feeling anger or encourage you to hold it in. Anger is a normal, healthy emotion when you know how to express it appropriately. Anger management is about learning how to do this.
Fees and Payment
Services are provided on a sliding fee scale according to income and we cannot deny services due to inability to pay.
If you do not have insurance or Medicaid SFL will bill you on a sliding fee scale which your fee is based on income, number of dependents and your ability to pay.
Also accepts state / federal and most private insurance.

A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
