CMHC offers services at 17 facilities located in Lawrenceburg, Batesville, Brookville, St. Leon and Vevay.

Services Offered

Outpatient Mental Health - The goal of outpatient mental health services is to help people cope with current stressors in order to minimize the impact on their daily lives. CMHC offers a variety of services for individuals, groups and families consisting of assessments, testing, evaluations, and psychiatric services, as well as individual, family and group therapy.

Intensive Family Services - The Intensive Family Services Program provides a comprehensive program to meet the mental health needs of youth with serious emotional, behavioral, social or family problems. The program is available for infants to 22 year olds. The program seeks to provide the least restrictive environment in which structured programming, therapeutic interventions and meaningful relationships with staff are used to help youth achieve their optimal level of functioning.

Sexual Offender Management and Monitoring - CMHC offers assessment services, group therapy, and individual therapy to individuals who have been convicted of a sexual offense and referred by the Indiana Department of Corrections or their local probation office.

Adolescent Sexual Offender Treatment - CMHC offers assessment services, group therapy, and individual therapy to individuals who have commited a sexual offense and are referred by the Indiana Department of Corrections, Department of Children Services or their local county probation.

School and Community-based - The purpose of school and community based mental health services is to serve those children who may not otherwise be engaged in traditional outpatient services and also to work in conjunction with school personnel and Department of Children Services to assist those youth and families whose mental health issues are having an impact on their functioning and quality of life.

Transitioning to Independence Program (TIP) - TIP works with 16-25 year olds to assist them as they move from child social services to adult social services. Besides offering mental health services, TIP is primarily focused on education, vocational, and residential needs of transitioning youth.

Substance Use Services - Services are based on the philosophy that substance use issues must be addressed in an individualized manner with assessment to determine the possible presence of mental health issues. Services are primarily offered in outpatient offices but can be integrated into any of our other programs.

Problem Gambling - The goal of gambling services is to assess clients for problem associated with gambling as well as other mental health or substance use disorders.

Community Support Services - Community Support Services offers a full range of clinical, housing, health, vocational and life skills services to adults with serious mentally illness in the region.

Wraparound Services - The program is for children who are already involved with other community-based services and are in need of better coordination among the systems. Together, the team develops an individualized service plan that builds on unique strengths of each child and family. Wraparound helps children, youth and families function better at home, in school, in the community and throughout life.

Open Access and Walk-In Services - Open Access is intended for individuals who are seeking services primarily for behavioral health issues. Walk-In is intended for individuals who are seeking assessment and treatment for substance use disorders.

Fees and Payment

You may be able to get financial assistance if you do not have insurance, are underinsured, or if it would be a financial hardship to pay in full the expected out-of-pocket expenses for services at Community Mental Health Center, Inc.

Financial assistance is generally determined by a sliding scale of total household income based on the Federal Poverty Level. No person eligible for financial assistance under the Financial Assistance Policy will be charged more for emergency or other medically necessary care than amounts generally billed to individuals who have insurance covering such care. If you have sufficient insurance coverage or assets available to pay for your care, you may not be eligible for financial assistance.
