Through counseling, we can help you address emotional, social and situational issues in your life. Outpatient Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) - Bill & Virginia Leffen Center for Autism offers intensive one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) focused on improving skills in the core deficit areas of social/play skills, communication, and restricted/repetitive or stereotyped behaviors. This outpatient therapy is available to individuals of all ages with a diagnosis of autism. Services may be covered by Missouri Medicaid, private medical insurance or self-pay. The treatment teams work closely with parents/guardians to ensure all skills taught in therapy can be generalized to other people and situations. Services may be delivered in a clinic, community setting or in the individual's home. All outpatient ABA services are overseen by a board-certified behavior analyst, and all direct service providers are trained as behavior technicians.
Services for Seniors - We've developed a variety of mental health programs and services with seniors in mind. Our skilled staff takes the time to thoroughly assess your needs, and we're dedicated to helping you improve your well-being and maintain your independence. Some of the services offered are: outpatient psychiatric services, and psychological services and counseling.
Mental Health Court - Joplin jail inmates who are identified as possibly having a mental illness - major depression, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia - are screened to see if they qualify for treatment from Ozark Center. Once identified as someone who would benefit from mental health treatment, an inmate is offered entry into the 12 to 18 month program through the Mental Health Court. Once the treatment is completed and the individual is living a productive, crime-free life, he can have his sentence suspended.
Walk-In Therapy Clinic - For issues ranging from depression and anxiety to eating disorders and substance use, you can receive same-day help at Ozark Center's Walk-In Clinic. With a team of 14 therapists, including psychologists, social workers and counselors, you can be matched to a mental health professional who will meet your needs and who you can see on a regular basis after your initial walk-in appointment.
Reconnect Eating Disorders Clinic - If you or a loved one is struggling with an eating disorder, you are not in this alone. At Reconnect, Ozark Center's eating disorder clinic, we take this work seriously. Our providers have each received specialized training in evidenced-based practices from industry-recognized experts. Treatment at Reconnect relies on a multidisciplinary team, and every member of your team is vital to taking your recovery into the real world.
Will's Place - Will's Place, developed by Ozark Center and Freeman Health System in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Mental Health, provides comprehensive behavioral health services to newborns through age 25. Our therapists address a wide variety of concerns that children and families may encounter, including: * Difficulties staying on task or being attentive * Dual diagnosis * Difficulties with emotional, behavioral, family, or community functioning * Past or current trauma, including physical, sexual, emotional, natural disaster, neglect, loss of a loved one or other trauma * Substance use * Impacts of divorce, separation or conflict in the home * Anxiety or social withdrawal * Challenges in social settings and peer relationships * Depression, mood swings or episodes of sadness * Self-destructive behaviors * Aggressive behaviors

Ozark Center Carl Junction Clinic - Provides outpatient behavioral health services for children and adults. Services Offered: individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and case management.
Drug Court Services - A court-supervised, comprehensive treatment program, Drug Court includes drug testing, individual and group counseling, and regular appearances before the Drug Court Judge.
Family Treatment - Substance use affects not only the addicted person, but has disruptive and devastating effects upon family members. The family suffers symptoms like the addicted individual, such as denial, guilt, anxiety and alienation. It is crucial to the addict's recovery that the family's needs be addressed while the individual is treated. Family treatment services include therapy, education, support groups, co-dependency counseling and group counseling.

Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance).
