Mental Health Services We pride ourselves on being the top mental health resource for residents of Butler County and neighboring communities. Our multidisciplinary team provides a variety of mental health services including assessments, therapy, psychiatric services, and residential housing.
Treatment & Programs
Individual, Family and Group Counseling Community Behavioral Health offers individual and group counseling services to adults and families as an extension of our Mental Health Services. Each of our clients participates in a customized program to meet their unique needs.
ACT Case Management ACT, or Assertive Community Treatment, is an intensive, self-contained, multidisciplinary team approach to case management. This program provides daily monitoring of clients and tea1ches them to recognize stressors and situations that may trigger an event. The goal of the ACT program is to create a "hospital without walls."
Connections Transitional Medication Support The Connections program is designed for Butler County residents who have a diagnosed mental illness and have been prescribed psychotropic medication but are currently not connected with a mental health provider. We provide temporary medication and referral support for individuals as they transition to a more permanent mental health provider.
SAMI Substance Abuse/Mental Illness SAMI, or Substance Abuse Mental Illness, provides integrated, dual-disorder treatment services. An individual who suffers from a Dual-Disorder or Dual-Diagnosis needs a specialized treatment program that can treat both the substance abuse and mental health disorder.
Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services We are here for the youngest members of our community. Our Master's level clinicians treat a wide variety of youth mental health diagnoses and behavioral concerns such as: anger and aggression, poor school performance, defiant behavior, substance abuse, hyperactivity and difficulty focusing, depression, anxiety, social skills, and trauma.
Alcohol and Drug We are proud to offer a variety of programs that not only rehabilitate, but educate our community. Whether a client is in need of voluntary outpatient drug and alcohol therapy, or has been sentenced by the court and is searching for an intensive therapy program, we can help.
Medication Assisted Treatment Medication Assisted Treatment combines the use of therapy and prescription medications that are designed to shut down the cravings that can derail recovery efforts.
Drug Court Drug Court is typically the first place for intervention when a client has been convicted of a crime involving substance abuse. Drug Court offers an opportunity to achieve sobriety AND avoid jail time by completing an intensive outpatient treatment program.

Non-Residential Felony Diversion Program The Day Reporting Center of Butler County offers programming and services for its court-involved, at-risk populations. Our services educate and meet a client's needs for rehabilitation during probation.
Intervention Programs
Decisions The Decisions Driver Intervention Program is a 48 or 72 hour driver intervention program designed for individuals arrested for an OVI/DUI offense involving alcohol and/or drugs.
Countermeasures The Countermeasures program is a two-day, 16 hour, drug and alcohol educational program geared toward misdemeanor offenses such as open containers, underage consumption and drug paraphernalia.
Diversion
The Diversion Program is a full day educational program geared towards misdemeanor offenses such as open containers, underage consumption and drug paraphernalia.
Substance Abuse Education Program Designed for clients who have experienced consequences related to alcohol or drug use and may be in the early stages of chemical dependency, the goal of the program is to provide education concerning the harmful effects of alcohol and drugs and how to avoid high risk behaviors.
Teen Intervention Group The Teen Intervention Group is designed to help adolescents unlearn their substance use patterns and to address family and social factors that contribute to their use.
Treatment Accountability for Safer Communities (TASC) When a client has been faced with legal issues involving substance abuse, an assessment by TASC may be scheduled to determine the level of care needed to continue toward a healthy rehabilitation. Teen Intervention Program The Teen Intervention Program [TIP] is designed to help adolescents unlearn their substance use patterns and to address some family and social factors that contribute to their use.

A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
