Family Counseling - Family counseling offers to improve distressed relationships through healthy changes to your relationships with children, parents, spouse, and other family members. We focus on addressing conflict, stress, grief, anger, and painful relational patterns. Family counseling may allow for increasing your ability to solve problems, express emotions, and attend to issues that have created conflict. We will help you explore and change your family patterns, roles, issues, and behaviors that are keeping your family from experiencing a more satisfying life together.

Couples Counseling - Adirondack Samaritan Counseling Center provides couples counseling for all stages of adult relationships. Individual Therapy - Our clinical staff at Adirondack Samaritan Counseling Center provides individual therapy to treat a broad range of issues that encompasses mind, body, and spirit. Our services focus on alleviating symptoms, increasing self-awareness and self-esteem, and personal growth. Group Programs - The Adirondack Samaritan Center offers the following group therapy programs: Anger Management Project: A psycho-education program for men and women who have difficulty controlling their anger.
Adolescent Empowerment: The adolescent empowerment group is a hybrid of psycho-education and social support. The group explores family of origin issues, peer concerns, trauma impact, emotions and appropriate boundaries, mindfulness, social skills, and healthy relationships.
Men's Opportunity Program: A court-ordered program for perpetrators of domestic abuse.
Fees and Payment
Our standard fee is $110.00 per session, $50.00 for group sessions.
We accept most major insurances.
With the help of our supporters, we offer an adjustable fee scale for individuals without insurance.

Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
