Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services is a nonprofit organization founded in 1910 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Pine Rest is the fourth largest behavioral health provider in the U.S., offering a full continuum of services including inpatient and partial hospitalization, residential, outpatient and teletherapy services, addiction treatment and recovery, extensive child and adolescent programs, senior care services, as well as specialized assessment and treatment clinics.

Services Offered

Addiction Services - Pine Rest offers a full continuum of addiction services that range from residential detoxification to traditional outpatient services. All of the service components in the continuum welcome those who also have mental health disorders. We believe that there should be no wrong door for individuals to access substance use disorder treatment.

Community Services & Outreach - Pine Rest reaches out to the community in a variety of ways to provide access to care, support and programming for persons with mental illness, substance use disorders and developmental disabilities.

Counseling and Outpatient Services - Our highly trained psychiatrists and psychologists provide professional services with compassion and understanding. We have over 270 clinicians providing a broad spectrum of quality care including psychiatry, therapy, consultation, assessment, counseling and specialty treatments for all ages in convenient, welcoming environments. We provide services for many concerns, including:

Inpatient Services - Inpatient care is short-term, intensive treatment provided in safe and secure units designed for individuals who are experiencing significant behavioral health issues, the severity of which requires 24/7 monitoring and care for safety.

Partial Hospitalization (Day) Programs - Partial Hospitalization (Day) Programs are suited for individuals who are experiencing behavioral health symptoms which cannot be adequately treated in a traditional outpatient setting, but are not severe enough to require 24/7 monitoring for safety.

Fees and Payment

Our mission includes the belief our services need to be available to everyone regardless of race, color, national origin, citizenship, sex, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, martial or family status or the ability to pay. To support the community we serve, counselors are available to assist you in applying for financial assistance via state Medicaid, local county agency assistance, federal and other charitable programs.

In addition, Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services may reduce or eliminate amounts due for services provided if a patient qualifies for our charitable or patient assistance programs. Participation in these programs is based on a percentage of established Federal Poverty Guidelines, household income and assets.
