Clark Community Mental Health Center has proudly delivered services in Barry, Dade and Lawrence Counties since 1971.

Services Offered

Child Case Management
Clark Center offers comprehensive mental health services to children, youth and their families. Through a wide range of programming and professional staff, Clark Center offers skilled assistance and support to children and teens experiencing behavioral or emotional health challenges.
For children and youth experiencing severe emotional disturbance (SED), Clark Center offers community-based programming consisting of Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation (CPR) .

These programs incorporate the wrap-around approach of treatment by assuring that service systems and community supports are maximally and culturally responsive to the specific, multiple and changing needs of the individual child and family. In accordance with an individually tailored service plan, a care coordinator would help access, coordinate, and monitor mental health and related services.

Adult Case Management
* Adult Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (CPRP)
CPRP is a Case Management (Care Coordination) program which refers to the arrangement and coordination of individual's treatment and rehabilitation needs, including medical, social and educational services and supports. These services are provided by Care Coordinators (CC), paraprofessionals with specialized training and advanced education in the area of psychology, education, or other appropriate area of study.Services Offered: > Teaching of social living skills,
> Coordination and monitoring of services and support activities,
> Escorting clients to services when necessary to achieve desired outcomes,
> Direct assistance including coaching and modeling of specific behaviors and responses,
> Wellness Coaching, which is a set of techniques designed to focus on achieving and maintaining wellness,
> Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) in which clients may participate in a day program of classes and activities,
> Peer Support which involves an employee with lived experiences of recovery modeling successful recovery behaviors, and
> Outreach, a service whereby a care coordinator can assist an individual in getting connected to a Medicaid service.

Groups
The Clark Center offers many groups on a variety of topics. If you would like more information about any of our group offerings, please ask your provider or call our main number at (417) 476-1000. We normally have active groups regarding the following:
* Alcohol and Substance Use
* Anxiety
* Depression
* IMR: Illness Management and Recovery which is an evidence-based practice with the purpose of empowering consumers to manage their illnesses, develop their own goals for recovery, and make informed decisions about their treatment by teaching them the necessary knowledge and skills.
* ITCD: Integrated Treatment for Co-occurring Disorders which is for people experiencing substance use disorder and behavioral health issues.

Intensive in Home Services
Intensive In-Home Services (IIS) is a four to six week intensive program which provides support and assistance to families who are at imminent risk of having their children removed from the home and placed in foster care, in-patient or residential care facilities, or other out-of-home placement. The family and the IIS Specialist will work as a team to address the problems that place the child(ren) at risk of being removed from the home.

Fees and Payment

The Clark Center offers discounted rates for those who qualify.

This will be determined by utilizing a sliding fee scale based on family size and income. We do not deny services based on inability to pay.
