Neighborhood Health Centers of the Lehigh Valley of Allentown, PA was officially incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 2004 by a group of concerned community residents. Their goal was to meet the need for a coordinated system of primary care for the uninsured and/or underinsured residents in the Lehigh Valley.
At NHCLV our goal is to help patients learn to navigate the complicated world of health care, strengthen connections with their clinicians, and set and accomplish goals that improve their quality of life.

Neighborhood Health Centers of the Lehigh Valley provides a discount on all primary care services for patients qualifying for the Sliding Fee Discount Program based on income and family size, and no other factors.
This program was established to assure patients are able to access primary care services provided by NHCLV based on ability to pay, with discounted fees set at a reasonable amount to assure no patient is denied care due to an inability to pay.

Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
