Services Offered

Marriage and Relationships - A great marriage takes time and attention. Marriage is a most intimate relationship. When it is working well, it's great. However, when we get stuck it can be very painful and traumatic. Whether you are engaged, newlyweds, or have been married for 50 years, our therapists can help you navigate to a renewed and fulfilling relationship. We can help you develop a plan to foster forgiveness, healing and/or a preferred future.

Family Counseling - Every family encounters issues and problems. We are here to help you work through what needs to happen in your family to encourage good relationships, stability, and well-being. Whether you come in alone or with family members, you can still generate positive change within your family.

Individual Counseling - We have counselors and therapists to fit a wide variety of client needs and support pertaining to personal problems, difficult circumstances, and individual development. Our trained staff has different theoretical approaches and personalities.

Teens and Adolescents - Our counselors work with children with a wide array of challenges such as adoption, trauma, loss, divorce recovery, and those facing behavioral and mental health issues. Typically, the counselor will meet with the parent alone for the first session to get the family history and determine what needs to be addressed. From there, the counselor will tailor a plan that is best for your family.

Child Counseling - Typically involves play therapy which is a form of psychotherapy that uses play (games, arts, crafts, toys) as means of helping children express or communicate their feelings.

Anger Management Classes - The Peacemaker Anger Management program offers many different options for individuals whose uncontrollable anger is threatening both their health and their relationships. The Anger Management program is also for people who have been mandated to an anger management program by local, city, county, or state courts, or the probation department.

Group Therapy and Classes - Groups are formed as needs and demands arise and classes or event speakers are available by request.

Grief and Loss - We grieve when we lose someone or something close to us. Whether it's the death of a loved one, job loss, broken relationship, or the realization that a dream will not come true, our counselors will walk with you toward healing and acceptance.

Addiction and Substance Abuse - Addiction is a challenging obstacle life throws our way. If you or a loved one is struggling with an addiction, give us a call. We will create an individual course of treatment to address you and/or your family's needs. Our counselors include the family in the treatment to create healing and growth for all of those involved.

Trauma - Survivors of abuse and/or trauma both physical and emotional often carry the effects throughout and within their lifetime. It alters how they see themselves and their relationships. Our therapists work with individuals, couples, and families to move one towards freedom, healing, and wholeness. Survivors can come through this trauma being free of the shame and childhood wounding which often accompanies the distress associated with abuse.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) - A powerful psychotherapeutic practice initially developed by Dr. Francine Shapiro in the late 1980's to treat troubling symptoms of trauma and post traumatic stress disorder. It has been used worldwide since then to help clients come to terms with a wide variety of troubling conditions and problems. EMDR is used at The Peacemaker Center to aid in the resolution of many life disabling problems, emotions and thoughts.

Eating Disorders - A drive for perfection, an overly critical inner-voice, a negative body image, and the use of highly controlled eating habits as a means to cope with overwhelming emotions are often key components of Eating Disorders. Our therapists work with individuals and families to change self-destructive patterns of thinking and behavior, establish new habits for managing life's stresses, disappointments, and challenges, create new ways to express thoughts and emotions, and find greater mental, emotional, spiritual and physical health, well-being and peace. Early diagnosis and treatment has a positive impact on success.

Spirituality - We can help you to heal from wounding caused by a spiritual abuse of power that may have happened at home, in a church, or school context. Additionally, our counselors can help you grow in your faith as they address issues you are facing. Our counselors want to offer a safe place to talk about your pain and help you begin healing.

Church Leadership Consulting - Leading a Church or Para-Church ministry is very rewarding and life-giving work. There are times, however, when leading becomes overwhelming, confusing and sometimes very hurtful to you and/or your family. These times of discouragement are often due to various personality, relational, or team conflicts. Our qualified staff have helped many church leaders renew their passion for ministry while assisting in resolving some difficult conflicts within the church community. Let us help you as you lead others.

Fees and Payment

The Center does not accept insurance, however we will gladly provide you with a receipt of services that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Session fees may vary per counselor. Sliding Scale reduced rates available for qualifying clients. Licensed Clinician: $125 per session; Master's Level Clinician: $110 per session; Master's Level Intern: Price Adjustable or Pro Bono.

Payment is due at the end of each session. Major credit cards are accepted.

Many individuals seeking services are unable to afford care. The Peacemaker Center offers scholarships to fund support for those individuals using financial donations from our valued partners and friends.
