Red Rock Behavioral Health Services is a private notâ€forâ€profit community mental health center that was founded in 1974, and is based in Oklahoma City. Red Rock provides mental health services, and referrals to physical health services, to indigent and insured Oklahomans, and is one of the largest community mental health centers in Oklahoma.
Adult Outpatient Services - Outpatient treatment programs provide individual, group and family counseling. They offer comprehensive, coordinated, and defined services that may vary in level of intensity. Outpatient programs address a variety of needs, including, but not limited to: situational stressor, family relations, interpersonal issues, psychiatric illnesses, addictions and mental health issues. Red Rock's Outpatient Programs serve individuals with mental health, substance abuse, and co-occurring mental and substance abuse disorders. Services are specific to the developmental stage and needs of each client.
Treatment is provided in the community as well as at Red Rock office locations. Substance abuse counseling provides education, support, and the skills needed to battle chemical use/dependency. These services include HIV education, training and counseling for substance dependent persons and their spouses/partners. All drug dependent clients are referred for HIV testing and counseling.
Child Outpatient Services - Red Rock (Planet Rock) utilizes evidencedâ€based treatments that demonstrate exceptional outcomes. Our goal is that every child receiving services will successfully discharge upon resolving their issue(s) and live productive lives. Red Rock equips children with the ability to navigate their future using newly developed coping skills and having the knowledge to be their own therapist to overcome future challenges.
Fees and Payment
Red Rock accepts many insurances. For persons without insurance coverage, the business office will check to see if your income meets guidelines to qualify for reduced rates or state/grant funding for services. Services are funded by state and federal funding through Medicaid and Medicare as well. If your insurance has a copay, you will be asked to pay that amount each time you have an appointment.
We also offer a sliding scale. It is a flexible way for you to receive the services you need based on your ability to pay.

A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
