The Trauma Recovery Center is a new resource offering free, confidential help to individuals who have been impacted by violence. We are part of Circle Health Services. We provide crisis support services, such as safe temporary housing, food, clothing, and emotional support. We also can connect people to ongoing services to rebuild their lives. Our services are for adults and teens aged 16 or older. We primarily serve communities on the East Side of Cleveland. The mission of Circle Health Services is to address vital community health needs by providing high quality health care and related services to individuals and families, regardless of their ability to pay, and by advocating for policy changes that promote greater access for the underserved and improved community-wide health and wellness outcomes.

Services Offered
Mental Health Services - The Mental Health department provides outpatient counseling and psychiatry services to patients. Circle Health Services offers numerous treatment options including individual, family and relationship counseling, and psychiatric services for mild to moderate conditions. More severe conditions are addressed on a case-by-case basis, and referrals are offered as needed.
Substance Abuse Treatment Services - The Substance Abuse Treatment Program is currently funded by the ADAMHS Board and accepts adults from Cuyahoga County for treatment. Services are accessed by appointment only. The intake process for our SAT program ranges from 2 to 3 hours and must be completed before admission to the program. The following services are offered for men and women.
Project DAWN (Deaths Avoided With Naloxone) - is a community-based overdose prevention and education project. This collaboration with MetroHealth enables opioid users to visit Circle Health Services on a walk-in basis to pick up naloxone kits and receive instruction on how to recognize and respond to an overdose and how to administer intranasal naloxone to reverse an opioid overdose.
Victims of Crime Services - Our trained counseling team has in-depth expertise in helping victims of crime deal with the emotional issues caused by violence or abuse.
Trauma Recovery Center: Free Services & Support - The Trauma Recovery Center of Circle Health Services offers free, confidential assistance to help adults in Cleveland and its eastern suburbs overcome the traumatic effects of violence.

Fees and Payment
We accept various insurance and payment option such as all insurances are accepted, including Medicaid and Medicare. We also offer a sliding fee scale program which is a low cost services available based on income and household size and we definitely serving the uninsured and underinsured. We are also a nonprofit agency.

A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
