Summary: Central Clinic Behavioral Health provides training opportunities for psychiatric residents from the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati's College of Medicine. UC and Yale University are the only two universities in the nation to have state-certified mental health non-profit agencies located on their medical campuses.

Adult Services - If you are an adult age 18 or older and experiencing a crisis, feeling depressed, anxious or overwhelmed and want help call 513.558.5801. Clinical counseling and assessment are provided to assist individuals experiencing life crisis and/or serious mental illness. Additional services may be provided upon regular engagement in counseling. Additional services may include one or more of the following:

CDC Behavioral Health Services - CDC Behavioral Health Services provides psychological testing and treatment services to children, families, and adults in Butler County. The goal of the program is to provide expert assessment and treatment services for mental health and addiction issues.

Healthy children and their families keep our community vibrant. Today's world requires infinite challenges for children. The Child & Family Treatment Center of Central Clinic Behavioral Health, partially funded by United Way, provides mental health services to children, adolescents and their families in a variety of office-based and community settings. Our goal is to assist children to be emotionally and developmentally prepared to be successful in their school and home environments. Central Clinic Behavioral Health is a proud member of the Tristate Trauma Network and the National Council's Trauma Informed Care Learning Community.

A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
