Counseling Services

Holbrook Counseling Center
Professional counseling services for adult individuals, couples and families, with emotional, behavioral and relationship or family problems, and marital or pre-marital problems. Services are provided in Chicago, and at Catholic Charities regional offices in Des Plaines, Cicero, Mundelein, Worth, and various parish locations.

Community Casework and Counseling & Domestic Violence
Provides counseling and case management services to families and individuals who are experiencing a wide range of social and personal problems affecting their ability to cope, including homelessness, domestic violence, substance abuse and addiction, sexual abuse, a trauma such as suicide, family issues related to aging parents, homicide, disability, illness such as HIV/AIDS, incest, and parent-child issues.

Community Family Service Center (CFSC)
Provides professional counseling services for children, youth and families, experiencing a wide range of social, emotional, behavioral, education, mental health or family problems.

Adoption/Subsidized Guardianship Preservation Services
Provides clinical counseling services to adopted children and their families or those under Subsidized Guardianship through the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Services provided throughout Cook County.

Loving Outreach to Survivors of Suicide (LOSS)
Program that that provides counseling and support services to individuals who are grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide.

LOSS Program for Children and Youth
Program addressing the unique needs of children and adolescents, ages three to 18, impacted by suicide of a family member or person close to them.

Youth and Family Therapeutic Services
Provides professional counseling services for children, youth and families, experiencing a wide range of social, emotional, behavioral, education, mental health or family problems.

CHA FamilyWorks
In collaboration with the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA), a program which provides case management services, employment and clinical services for current CHA residents throughout their relocation process.

HIV/AIDS Liaison to the Archdiocese of Chicago
Provides consultation and direction regarding HIV/AIDS education and outreach ministry to Catholic parishes within the archdiocese, departments and staff of Catholic Charities, in collaboration with agencies in Chicagoland.

HIV/AIDS Case Management Services
Provides comprehensive HIV/AIDS case management, mental health counseling, substance abuse counseling, supportive services, transportation, and food pantry services, to those living with HIV/AIDS in Lake County.

Addiction Counseling and Education Services (ACES)
Counseling is available on an individual, couple or group basis, for adults 18 or older, who have been negatively impacted by substance abuse related issues, either their own or an individual close to them. Information and referrals to appropriate resources, outpatient counseling for recovering individuals and/or their families, and educational/informational community presentations are also available.

Insurance is accepted and fees are based on a sliding scale.
