Cascade is a non-profit Community Mental Health Center that has been serving the Lewis County area for more than 50 years. Our mission is to provide our clients with compassionate and encouraging counseling leading to a renewed sense of hope and the ability to make positive changes and live more satisfying lives.
Services Offered
Crisis Services Cascade offers crisis services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at no cost. Crisis services are available to assist any individual of all age groups who are in an emotional crisis. Crisis responders utilize a holistic approach to create and implement appropriate and individualized measures to help maintain safety and provide stabilization.
Outpatient Services Program The Adult Outpatient Program at Cascade is often the first contact after a client requests services.
Following the Intake Assessment a provisional diagnosis is given and if it is determined the client meets access to care standards, an appointment with an assigned case manager or therapist is offered to begin treatment.
Adult Outpatient works with people age 21- 59, for client's with shorter term needs. Often the client can resolve their concerns in less than 12 sessions. By learning and practicing skills and strategies for coping with symptoms, a return to functioning is restored.
Therapeutic Interventions may include: Exposure Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Brief Intervention, and many more.
Child and Adolescent Services This program is designed to support children and adolescents up to the age of 21.
Our Child and Adolescent Counselors use a variety of treatment methods and activities to assist clients in meeting their treatment goals including Individual, Group, and Family therapy to children, adolescents, parents, foster parents, and non-parental relatives acting as primary caregiver.
WISe Program Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe) is a program that provides recovery support services that addresses the complex emotional, behavioral, and social issues of identified individuals twenty years of age or younger, and their family.
School Based Services Cascade has Early Interventionists and School Based Counselors in several Lewis County School Districts.
Geriatric Services Cascade's Geriatric Program is for our clients 60+. Our Geriatric team provides a wide range of services to assist you in meeting your treatment goals.
Medical Services Following your Intake Assessment and Treatment Plan appointments, you may be referred to have an evaluation with our Medical Department.
Our medical team provides assessments, evaluations, and medication management to eligible clients based on their psychiatric needs. Following an evaluation, our providers will coordinate with your primary care physician to determine ongoing medical care.
Substance Use Disorder Services Cascade's Substance Use Disorder Program treats adults, their families, and their significant others with dignity and respect to facilitate their recovery from the disease of substance use disorder through counseling and education, while providing links to ancillary community support services.Services Offered:DUI Assessments Intensive Outpatient Outpatient Co-Occurring Disorders Referral and Placement assistance Family engagement/support Anger Management
Community Support Services This program offers case management services that provides goal-oriented, individualized supports that focus on improved self-sufficiency.
Case Managers will work to coordinate client care needs, explore community supports and activities, and assist clients in meeting their treatment plan goals.
Intensive Case Management Cascade's Intensive Case Management (ICM) program is for individuals with severe mental health disorders, who frequently need care in a psychiatric hospital or other crisis services.
A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
