We provide programs for the prevention, intervention, and treatment of mental health problems and substance abuse. Educational programs, advocacy, support groups, outreach, and transitional living are also available. All information regarding agency clients is confidential and cannot be shared with any other agency or individual without the client's written authorization, except in specific situations such as an emergency.

Community Support Services - community based services designed to foster independent living and optimal functioning for individuals recovering from mental illness.
Prevention - efforts work to reduce substance abuse problems and to enhance positive youth, family, and community development.
Children First- a two session (4 hour) educational program for divorcing parents. The purpose is to provide education about the effects of divorce upon children and to provide suggestions to parents on how they may handle situations between them for the benefit of their children.
Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP) - an educational program for parents who are interested in learning additional parenting skills. Videos and group discussion are utilized to make the classes interesting and informative.
Consultation - Our staff members provide consultation to numerous agencies and organizations including: school systems, long-term care facilities, law enforcement agencies, the courts, social service agencies and others.
Fees and Payment
We Accept Most Insurance Plans including Medicaid and Medicare. Financial information must be obtained to determine your eligibility for a reduced fee or availability of resources such as Medicaid and insurance. Fee for services are set using a sliding fee scale based upon income and no client is denied services for inability to pay. Payment is expected at time of service

A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
