Bluebonnet Trails Community Mental Health Mental Retardation Center (the Center) was formed in 1996 through an interlocal governmental agreement among the six counties of Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Lee and Williamson. After well-attended public hearings, and at the request of these counties, the Center was legally established as a community mental health mental retardation center in 1997 by the Texas Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation. During September 2000, Gonzales and Guadalupe Counties joined the Center establishing the current eight-county service area in which the Center is designated by the State of Texas as the local mental health and mental retardation authority.

Today, the Center has been renamed to Bluebonnet Trails Community Services and serves as the local mental health and mental retardation authority in eight counties with a population density of over 845,000 persons and a land mass of approximately 6,910 square miles. Center services are provided to adults with serious mental illness and chemical dependency; to children and adolescents with serious mental illness or emotional disorders, chemical dependency, autism or pervasive developmental disorders; to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities; and to infants and toddlers with developmental delays.

Behavioral Health Services
Throughout our eight counties, our qualified professional psychiatrists, counselors and skilled medical team provide medication management, individual, couple, family and group therapy and coping skills to assist individuals in reaching their desired wellness goals. > Crisis Services Offered: Bluebonnet Trails has several options for those experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Our well trained staff are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through our Crisis Hotline: 1-800-841-1255 to assist with finding you the most appropriate care and needed services. > Counseling: Dedicated counselors collaborate with individuals offering individual, couple, family, or group counseling to address trauma, bullying, depression, anxiety, and more behavioral health challenges. Our counselors work with the individual towards their identified goals to obtain their optimized wellness and recovery.

> Case Management: At Bluebonnet Trails we offer Routine and Intensive Case Management for individuals in services. Routine Case Managers provide resources for individuals within their communities to receive continuity of care between their doctor and counselor visits. Intensive Case Managers will meet more frequently with individuals, also providing resources between visits, while also ensuring the individuals' care plan is effective. Our Case Managers monitor individuals' care plan and make adjustments as needed to assist individuals in meeting their recovery goals.

> Psychosocial Rehabilitative Services Offered: Our therapeutic team assists individuals to build strengths and focus on restoring their ability to develop and maintain social relationships, occupational or educational achievement. Individuals will gain knowledge and work towards successful independent living skills.

Our Elgin and Hutto locations within our Family Health Centers offer the following services for your convenience in a school setting!

*Elgin: We offer behavioral health services in partnership with Elgin ISD, serving Elgin ISD students, faculty, staff and their families and members of the Elgin community. We offer:
> Mental Healthcare: Counseling services to address a variety of concerns such as depression, anxiety, bullying, trauma, behavioral challenges, family issues and more. Individual, group and family sessions are available. Psychiatric evaluations and medication services for behavioral healthcare are also available.

*Hutto: We offer behavioral health services in partnership with Hutto ISD, available to Hutto ISD students, faculty, staff and their families. The clinic also welcomes City of Hutto staff and their families. Services within our Hutto clinic include:
> Mental Healthcare: Counseling services to address a variety of concerns such as depression, anxiety, bullying, trauma, behavioral challenges, family issues and more. Individual, group and family sessions are available. Psychiatric evaluations and medication services for behavioral healthcare are also available.

Fees and Payment

Insurance Coverage:
Bluebonnet Trails accepts private insurance, Medicaid and Medicare for services rendered throughout all of our locations.

Payment for Services Offered:
As a courtesy to our consumers, Bluebonnet Trails will file claims with your insurance coverage. It is ultimately your responsibility for the full and timely payment of your account.

Payment of your estimated consumer portion is expected at the time services are rendered. This payment will include known deductibles, copays, and coinsurance due for this visit. Bluebonnet Trails will estimate your financial responsibility; it is your insurance company that will make the final determination regarding your eligibility and benefits.

You may qualify for financial assistance towards your payments. This qualification will be determined at your first visit with Bluebonnet Trails. To qualify, it is very important that you bring with you: Proof of Insurance, Proof of Residence, and Proof of Family Income.
