Andrews Center Behavioral Healthcare System is a non-profit, comprehensive mental health and intellectual and developmental disability center. Services are provided in a five-county area of East Texas (Smith, Wood, Rains, Van Zandt and Henderson).

MENTAL HEALTH A mental illness has the capacity to impact every area of an individual's life, but quality care and support can and does make a difference.
AUTISM OUTREACH The outreach program provides individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to families of children with autism or other developmental disabilities. Our goal is to provide learning opportunities for children that will bring about success and positive outcomes at school and at home.
INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES Andrews Center provides service coordination to support people living with IDD in achieving personal goals. An Andrews Center staff member - a Service Coordinator - assists the client in accessing medical, social, educational, and other services and supports. These different services are meant to help the client achieve quality of life and community participation.
COUNSELING Andrews Center offers comprehensive counseling services to children, adolescents and adults. Our goal with all counseling is to help the patient achieve their maximum potential.

ADULTS Andrews Centers offers a variety of treatment and support programs for adults living with mental illness, such as severe depression, schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder, and is also able to refer to other helpful programs.
CHILDREN AND YOUTH Andrews Center is dedicated to assisting children and their families with intellectual and developmental disabilities to help the child reach his or her full potential. AT RISK YOUTH Whether living with behavioral issues, an acute mental illness diagnosis, or handling a crisis, Andrews Center is equipped to care for and support the at-risk youth and their caregivers.
VETERANS Veterans face many obstacles, including substance abuse and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Andrews Center is able to serve veterans independently and in partnership with Veterans Affairs
Fees and Payment
If applicable, payment may be asked for at the time service is rendered. The fee will be based on diagnosis and financial ability to pay. A person with a major mental illness may qualify for financial assistance from a local, state or federal funding source.

A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
