A+ Solutions has been serving the magic valley area as a Mental Health Clinic and Developmental Disabilities Agency since 2001. Throughout the years, we have grown and developed a reputation as a quality provider, focusing on positive outcomes for each individual and family. Many of our administrative and direct care staff members have been with the agency since the formative years. Mental Health Services
A+ Solutions currently has 2 mental health clinic locations to serve the Magic Valley area - one in Burley and one in Twin Falls. We have several Master's Level, Licensed Clinicians on staff to provide mental health counseling for various issues. Our therapists treat children, adolescents and adults in individual, family, and couples counseling. We address a full range of mental health issues and behavioral disorders. Our counselors are exceptionally trained and experienced, providing research-based methods and interventions to address client needs.
We have training in research-based methods such as: - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) - Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) - Solution Focused Therapy - EMDR - Play Therapy, Expressive Therapies - Family Teaching Model - Behavioral Modification - Parent-Child Interaction Therapy - MRT - Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Community Based Services
A+ Solutions Center provides community based services in conjunction with the mental health clinic including Community Based Rehabilitation Services (CBRS), Case Management, and Peer Support. Each of these services take place in the homes and natural community settings of participants, in order to enhance mental health clinic services. Each service is implemented to meet the needs of individuals and families, as an adjunct service to psychotherapy.The following are descriptions of each: Community-Based Rehabilitation Services (CBRS): CBRS is provided by bachelor's level staff members who are certified psychiatric rehabilitation practicioners (CPRP). It is available to children, adolescents and adults who are recovering from a Severe and Persistent Mental Illness or Serious Emotional Disturbance. This program assists participants in developing skills and accessing resources needed to function and succeed in their home and community settings. The goal of the service is to promote recovery, assist the member to integrate with his/her community, and provide services aimed at helping the member improve his/her quality of life.
Case Management Services Offered:Case Management is a home and community-based program, provided by a bachelor's level staff member. Case managers assist participants who are at risk of being underserved in their effort to identify, access and utilize medical, behavioral health or social services, or to otherwise achieve goals for recovery/resiliency. Peer Support Services Offered:Peer and Family Peer Services and Supports are a form of community support service in which a Certified Peer or Family Peer Specialist utilizes his/her training, lived experience and experiential knowledge to assist the member/member's parent or legal guardian with achieving the member's recovery and resiliency goals.
Developmental Disability Services A+ Solutions currently provides Developmental Therapy Services to adults, and services to children and adolescents under the Idaho Children's Redesign. These services are provided to children, adolescents, and adults who have been diagnosed with a developmental disability by a physician or licensed clinical psychologist.
Adult Developmental Therapy (DT): These services are home, community, and center-based, provided individually or in group settings. Paraprofessionals assist adults in skill development to increase independent functioning and socialization. Plans are developed according to individual skill development and behavioral needs of each participant.
Children's Redesign Services - Home and Community Based Services (HCBS): These services include several components that enhance outcomes for children and their families. They include Habilitative Intervention, Family Training, Family Education, Habilitative Supports, and Respite.
Habilitative Intervention (HI): This service is provided by Bachelor's level staff members who are certified by the State of Idaho as a Habilitative Intervention Specialists. These individuals have specialized training in child and adolescent development, learning theory, and applied behavior analysis. HI services are consistent, aggressive, and continuous and are provided to improve a child's functional skills and minimize problem behaviors.
Family Training: This service is provided by staff members who are qualified to do HI services. The purpose is to provide one-on-one instruction to families to help them better meet the needs of participants receiving intervention services.
Interdisciplinary Training: A+ Solutions staff members obtain professional instruction from other service providers in a child's life. This training is provided during provision of support or intervention services. The purpose is to assist our staff members in meeting the needs of a participant.
Family Education: The purpose of this service is to provide professional assistance to families to help them better meet the needs of the participant. An HI professional offers education to the parent or legal guardian that is specific to the individual needs of the family and child, as identified in the plan of service.
Habilitative Support: This is a community-based service that is provided by a trained and certified paraprofessional. A+ Solutions staff members provide Assistance to a participant with a disability by facilitating the participant's independence and integration into the community. Opportunities are provided for participants to explore their interests, practice skills learned in other therapeutic environments, and learn through interactions in typical community activities.
Respite: Paraprofessional staff members provide supervision to participants on an intermittent or ongoing basis because of the need for relief of the primary unpaid caregiver. This service is available in response to a family emergency or crisis, on a regular basis to provide relief to caregiver, and may be provided in a participant's home, DDA, or community.
Fees and Payment
Accepting Medicaid, most insurances and offering sliding fee scale for services. No one will be denied care due to inability to pay for services. It is our goal to ensure that payment is never a barrier to treatment.

A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
