Couples Therapy - All relationships have their ups and downs, and certainly come with their own set of challenges. When push comes to shove we tend to lash out at the ones we love most, or we make exceptions that we normally would never make. Couples therapy and relationship counseling is an important step to take in mending your relationship.

Family Therapy - A form of counseling designed to work with family members to improve relationships and resolve conflicts and issues. Some family therapy includes all family members while in other cases it may make sense to involve just particular members. It may not be necessary for each family member to be present during each session. Your counselor will work with your family to create a schedule and solution that works for everyone involved.

Individual Therapy - In individual therapy, we address a wide variety of issues in an effort to help you better understand and manage your behaviors and emotions. We work with you to create goals and an individualized plan to help you achieve your goals in what a better life looks like. While medication may sometimes be part of the solution, it's not where we start. We take a versatile approach to improving your outlook on life and use a number of therapies based on your specific needs.

Group Therapy - Typically our groups are made up of five to eight people who are facing similar challenges as well as one or more counselors. The group meets on a weekly basis for a specific time frame and sessions usually last between 60 and 90 minutes. Participants are expected to keep everyone's name confidential outside the group, a responsibility that's taken very seriously.

No one will be denied services at NEMHC based on their ability to pay, method of payment or any other reason. A sliding fee scale and other funding sources are available based on family size and income. If you need financial assistance please inform the receptionist at the time of making your appointment.
