Colchester Catalyst Charity aims to help relieve the sick and suffering by making a positive and ongoing contribution to the improvement of healthcare in North East Essex.

Our primary mandate is to provide support that benefits as many people as possible, largely through direct contributions to organisations for specific and well-defined projects, including therapeutic aids, equipment and building works for medical or nursing care.

Services Offered

Counselling

We appreciate that those with a medical need or disability may benefit from therapeutic counselling support.

Our counselling scheme is specifically intended to assist those in most urgent need of counselling and where other clinical needs are also identified.

Applications will be considered on behalf of individuals of any age, so long as they fall within the Charity's remit and guidelines.

Assessment from a Catalyst Counselling Partner and a GP must support all applications. Names and addresses of applicants are not disclosed to Catalyst and will always remain confidential.

Grants cannot be made retrospectively. We are unable to consider applications where there is an obligation for provision by a statutory authority, and all applicants are expected to make a minimum donation.

Grants for respite care and counselling are administered through our partner organisations.
