The Sharjah Autism Center of the Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services was opened on February 16, 2002. It is a non-profit center that aims to provide appropriate specialized educational and therapeutic services for children, autistic youth and their families. The center also includes a special section for autistic youth, which was opened on 10/04/2007 and includes 6 Autistic youth and 3 educational supervisors with the aim of continuing to develop and expand services and extend their scope to include adolescents and autistic youth.

The center provides its services for children aged 5 years and over and for autistic youth within an individual and group program based on educational and remedial plans that take into account the needs and priorities of each case.
The center provides family support by providing counseling and psychological therapy sessions for students' families. It also trains parents on ways to communicate and work with children at home.
The center relies mainly on the TEACCH program, which is considered one of the most effective programs in training autistic students.
The center follows up the integration of the center's students who are integrated into the regular schools to determine the extent of the success of the integration, which corresponds to the needs and requirements of the autistic person, which serves and helps in the development of his abilities.
