I have many years experience working in the Human Services sector including Child Safety, a Family Intervention Service, a Generalist Counselling service and Private Practice.  Throughout the years I have worked with a diverse range of people with a variety of issues, providing counselling, case management, service leadership and practice supervision.
 
My focus is on helping people recover from traumatic incidents. I have clinical experience working with people who have experienced trauma such as sexual assault, vehicular accidents, workplace accidents/incidents, physical assaults, bullying, the traumatic death of a loved one, relationship loss, domestic violence, as well as with adult survivors of childhood abuse.

I use a client-centred approach to therapy which means that when I work with you, I work collaboratively, providing a compassionate, validating environment. My aim is to empower you to affect your own change through the use of evidence-based, solution focused strategies such as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), & Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

As well as trauma, I provide counselling for a wide range of other psychological concerns, such as depression, anxiety, life crises, painful emotiuons, self esteem and confidence and workplace difficulties.

Fees and Payment

Fees are approximately half of other private providers in the area, with minimal out of pocket expenses for those with a Mental Health Care Plan from a GP or Psychiatrist. Please enquire about further reduced rate for concession card holders.
