We provide:
Adult Counseling
Life challenges, transitions, grief and loss, relationships, and family conflict are a few of the struggles adults may encounter throughout their lifetime. These and other challenges also offer opportunities to learn and grow as whole persons. Wellspring Counseling is prepared to help adults address problems, explore options for change, search for meaning, and continue their progress along life’s journey.
Working individually with one of our counselors affords the client opportunity to reflect on personal struggles or questions in a safe environment.
Child and Adolescent
We at Wellspring Counseling are dedicated to helping young people develop the tools to deal with their struggles both now and in the future.
Although children and teens receive individual counseling by our licensed counselors, parents are encouraged to be active partners in their child’s growth and will be asked to attend family sessions and/or parent sessions with the counselor. Play therapy approaches are used with young children, affording the child opportunity to express emotions in a safe, non-judgmental environment, and to experience accepting adult interaction and guidance. Older children and teens are counseled from a perspective of acceptance and guidance, to encourage development of self as they relate to peers and to family members. Parents are encouraged to be active partners in their child’s growth, and will be asked to attend family sessions and/or parent sessions with the counselor.
Through counseling, children and adolescents learn to deal with their world of school, family and peers, cope more effectively within those systems, and experience their own ability to overcome roadblocks and solve problems appropriate to their age and stage of development.
Relationship counseling for married, partnered, engaged, divorced, separated or dating couples is provided by our counselors experienced in family and couples work. Whether seeking to strengthen an existing relationship, explore and enrich a new relationship, or learn strategies for resolving conflict in a dissolved relationship, couples can experience the grace to move forward with a sense of hope and empowerment.
Couples are usually seen together, but a counselor may request to see an individual for a session or part of a session. You and your counselor will determine the best course together.
Our services are charged on a sliding scale fee based on income.
