Al-Folk is a non-profit Foundation that sponsors Al-Folk project, which is the first integrated unique model project in the Middle East aimed at integrating people with special mental abilities, specifically (heroes of Down Syndrome) in society, according to precise scientific standards. Al-Folk is project is one of the pioneering community projects in Egypt and the Middle East, launched in light of an advanced scientific study, to serve an important category: people with special needs, specifically those with “Down Syndrome” who suffer greatly due to the difficulty they face to adapt to the surrounding society. Their suffering grows due to the absence of a pioneering authority to take over their integration and rehabilitation process in an integrated manner according to scientific criteria based on the method of research and application.

The project provides free integrated services to 5 main categories: -150 young men and young women above 18 years old (residents at the project). -150 boys and girls aged (4-18) years frequenting the project to get their sensory, motor, mental, educational and vocational skills developed. -Qualifying families and developing their abilities to deal with their children who have Down syndrome. - The project provides integrated services for the treatment, rehabilitation, training and skills development of our Down Syndrome champions. -There is an institution to prepare people to work for similar projects elsewhere. – Providing medical services for residents of the village. The project works through an integrated team that includes experts in various fields of specialization. They are trained at the highest level in similar international projects, specifically in Italy, which is a world leader in this field.
