Mind is an independent non-profit association that works for mental health. We are religiously and politically unbound. We do not replace care, but supplement it.
The suicide line is for you who have thoughts about taking your life or have a loved one with such thoughts. You can reach us on phone 90101. We are open around the clock, every day. But sometimes it can be difficult to arrive.
You Are Anonymous
We do not see your phone number when you call us or your IP address when you chat.
All chats are saved for four weeks and evaluated by our operations manager, who checks that the quality of the chats is at a high level, on the part of the volunteers. No personal data is saved because you are anonymous.
Your anonymity and privacy are important to us. When you contact the Suicide Line, you always have the option to remain anonymous. Our volunteers perform voluntary work and it is not okay to expose them to any form of abuse, whether in the form of anger/threats or sexual innuendos.
In between, we participate in various research projects at well-established universities, then we decode all chats and conversations from personal details, so that no information that means you can be identified appears.
Calls to the Suicide Line are free, in addition to your telephone operator's opening fee (a mark-up). Mind covers the cost of the rest of the call. Keep in mind that you may have to pay a roaming charge if you are in a country outside the EU.
One quick last question. Who was seeking counseling today?
Do you know the reason they are not accepting clients?
