We Provide comprehensive mental health assessments/treatment for children and adolescents between the ages of 0-18 who have moderate to serious mental health problems.Consumer and family /whanau advisors are available to provide service-user and family perspectives, and to offer advice to staff on consumer and family issues. Te Pou Korkiri cultural advisors are available to provide cultural support to Maori accessing services. The services work closely with community services, including supported accommodation providers, iwi based groups, family and consumer groups.

Adolescent Mental Health Services - Community services for children and young people (up to 19 years) providing assessment, counselling, psychiatry and social work. Skilled multidisciplinary team including psychologists, psychiatrist, social workers, family counsellor, early intervention worker, child psychotherapist, interagency and liaison workers.
Youth alcohol and drugs services - PIf a young person (18 and under) wants to seek help or get more information about alcohol or other drug issues then we will respond, in confidence. Anyone can approach the SORTED service. Concerned parents or caregivers of a young person using alcohol, cannabis or other substances are very welcome to contact SORTED.

Mental Health and Addiction Services - Mental Health and Addiction Services provide community-focused care, underpinned by recovery and harm reduction models. The services are supported by a 24-hour seven-day a week acute/crisis service and acute admission inpatient services. The Tauranga acute inpatient unit, Te Whare Maiangiangi, provides 24 beds and the Whakatane acute/crisis inpatient unit, Te Toki Maurere, has 10 beds. In terms of community services, the main ones provided in both areas are: * Community alcohol and drug * Mental health services for older people * Child and adolescent mental health * Community mental health
Physiotherapy - Physiotherapy provides services to individuals and populations to develop, maintain, restore and optimise health and function throughout the lifespan. This includes providing services to people compromised by ageing, injury, disease or environmental factors. Physiotherapy identifies and maximises quality of life and movement potential by using the principles of promotion, prevention, treatment/intervention, habilitation and rehabilitation. This includes physical, psychological, emotional, and social well being. Physiotherapists are registered health practitioners who are educated to practise autonomously by applying scientific knowledge and clinical reasoning to assess, diagnose and manage human function. The practice of physiotherapy is not confined to clinical practice, and encompasses all roles that a physiotherapist may assume such as patient/client care, health management, research, policy making, educating and consulting, wherever there may be an issue of public health and safety.
Inpatient services - The Physiotherapy team work with inpatients and are referred for physiotherapy by the nursing or medical staff. These patients will be assessed and treated on the hospital ward.
Outpatient services - The Physiotherapy team work with patients who are able to attend hospital for treatment. A referral from your GP or other health professional may be required to access these services.

A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
