CARE in Jordan works around the world to save lives, fight poverty and achieve social justice. CARE International was established in Jordan in 1948, where the organization provided food and non-food items to Palestinian refugees in Jordan, and it continues its work in the field of responding to humanitarian crises and providing assistance to local communities and refugees from Iraq, Somalia, Sudan and then Syria. In addition to its contribution to protect and improve the lives of the vulnerable communities. CARE's scope of work has evolved from emergency response to long-term development programs, which now include urban refugee protection programs, Azraq camp and the sustainable development program. Services Offered

CARE provides services to GBV survivors directly and through partners: first-line support (empathetic counseling, safety planning, and referrals), health care (clinical management of rape and sexual and reproductive health and rights), legal support, psycho-social support, economic opportunities, and referral system strengthening.
CARE responds to sexual violence by helping women to recover physically, psychologically and economically.
