Jaber Al-Ahmad Branch was opened in 25/01/2017. The branch providing psychological and social consulting services in addition to many other services such as: cognitive therapy, behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and under the supervision of consultants, psychologists and social specialists. Branch receives individuals of all age groups to provide social and psychological counseling confidentially and free of charge. The branch has been opened to serve the people of the district and nearby areas and to meet their needs.

Services Offered

- PSYCHOLOGICAL ISSUES: These include treatment of various mental disorders such as anxiety, depression, fears, obsessive-compulsive disorders, irritability and excessive stress. They also comprise behavioral problems, such as oppositional defiant disorder, school truancy, aggressive behavior, and rebelliousness. Other issues are hurting others, damaging property, lying, stealing, school bullying and school violence. Moreover, personality problems are given a great deal of emphasis. These involve disorders, such as anti-social personality disorder, histrionic personality disorder, schizotypal personality disorder, narcissistic personality disorder, avoidant personality disorder and dependent personality disorder. - SOCIAL ISSUES: These include family problems such as divorce, family breakdown, domestic violence such as violence against wives, husbands and children. In addition, they involve issues such as poor marital adjustment, lack of marital social skills (i.e. loss of positive dialogue and a lack of empathy), sexual relationship disorders, experience of loss and lack of social support. - EDUCATIONAL ISSUES: These focus on addressing problems related to leaners’ school performance, such as academic learning disorders including reading disabilities, writing disabilities as well as math disabilities. Academic disorders are considered to be the result of developmental learning disabilities or those related to the development of the learner’s mental abilities and the processes driving his academic, social and professional adjustment. Developmental disabilities may take the form of deficits in attention, perception and problem solving, or they might exhibit themselves as cognitive and memory disorders. - PROFESSIONAL ISSUES: These include challenges related to the work environment and working conditions, such as adaptation to the work environment, coping with work pressures and getting along with coworkers. Professional issues also involve poor professional performance at the workplace, problem solving and decision-making skills, as well as negligence of positive thinking, creativity and excellence. Professional issues cover also the ways of achieving job satisfaction, workplace motivation.
