Central India Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences
Central India Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (CIIMHANS) has been established and functioning since the year 2007 by the benevolent and generous minded members of the Elite director board of Dr Ram Lakhan Gupta Foundation, Durg (CG).
CIIMHANS, since its commencement of journey through, had a mission re-inforced. The mission of reaching out to the victims of mental health issues, addiction and the lamenting families. The customary scheme of faith healing, its promoters like Baigas and Guniyas etc and their subjecting the downtrodden population of comparatively backward state of Chhattisgarh in terms of literacy and economy were taking a toll on the state of affairs. Needless to mention, such misconceptions and myths were never paying any dividends to the cause of reinstating the mental health. Instead, the proneness of the illiterates to Jadu, Tona, Jhad-phook and many named or unnamed techniques was on a rise making the crooks reaping the benefits. From a global perception, World Health Organization in their recent statistics has revealed the frightening fact of more than 450 million across the globe suffer from mental illnesses. The malaise of mental illness and addiction to substances need no emphasis. It leads to loosing of skills, dependency on the family results into becoming a non-productive member of the family. In a family it comes as a curse and for those who have less understanding, lack of caring members and other resources, this problem persists to be a grave phenomenon. CIIMHANS, with our aim have come up with the perfect innovative idea of a rehabilitation centre for catering to the societal need by inducting highly expert professionals so that the residents could experience the delightful stay with quality care, comfort, security, kindness, love and empathy as provided by their family, the baseline being rehabilitation.

One quick last question. Who was seeking counseling today?
Do you know the reason they are not accepting clients?
A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
