We are a not-for-profit, charitable organisation, with no religious affiliations. Â
Our purpose is to provide services which assist people who are vulnerable and disadvantaged, with a particular focus on: -Those who are financially disadvantaged and are unable to access other services; -Those who are living with complex life situations; -Those who are affected by past experiences or health conditions which have a  impact on their lives.
At Relationships Australia South Australia we are here to provide the help needed to overcome difficulties so that people can bring about positive change in their lives.
We receive funding from both the Commonwealth and State governments.
We are a member of the National Federation of Relationships Australia, which has member organisations in every Australian State and Territory.
Services Offered
People use counselling to receive one-on-one support for a range of issues and to help find solutions to their own challenges.
Counselling can offer an opportunity for you to explore and possibly change, various aspects of your life in a non-judgmental environment.
Counselling can help you to: -Address specific issues in life -Improve self-confidence -Manage anxiety -Expand communication -Deal with differences and conflict -Cope with separation and losses -Overcome trauma and life challenges -Repair or strengthen your relationships -Prepare for new relationships.

Fees and Payment
Many personal counselling services are fully funded and there is no cost to the person attending.
Where a fee applies it is determined according to household income and includes concession rates.
Fees can be negotiated or waived where appropriate.

A community counseling agency is a group therapy practice that offers affordable mental health services. Most are independent non-profit agencies, state agencies, or publicly-funded agencies. A few may restrict who is eligible for services, so it is a good idea to check when you call.
Community counseling agencies are generally more affordable than other therapy providers, but how much more affordable they are will depend on whether you qualify for a discount or sliding scale fee (or if they accept your insurance). Many, but not all, have a policy that they won't turn away anyone due to inability to pay. You should ask about their fees when you first call.
Expect to talk to kind people who want to help you find the care you need. Most community agencies strive to connect you with a live person within 24 hours, if not immediately. If you're asked to hold or leave a message, don't give up; just leave a message and wait. You should hear back pretty quickly.
Most agencies try to set up an initial assessment appointment within a week (some do within 24 hours), though the waitlist to start therapy is usually longer—about a few weeks on average. If you're not eligible or if the agency is not right for you, it's usually still worth it to call or drop in, because staff are knowledgeable about local options and can often refer you to one.
