The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), founded in 1918, is one of the oldest voluntary organizations in Canada. Each year, we provide direct service to more than 100,000 Canadians through the combined efforts of more than 10,000 volunteers and staff across Canada in over 120 communities.
CMHA Brant Haldimand Norfolk (BHN) Branch is a charitable, non-profit agency contributing to the mental well-being of the community through education and support services to all persons 16 years of age and over with mental illness, mental disorders and their families in a safe, discrimination free environment.
BounceBack Ontario
BounceBack: Reclaim your health is a free, skill-building program designed to help adults and youth aged 15+ manage symptoms of depression and anxiety. Available by referral from a primary care provider (family doctor, nurse practitioner) or client self-referral, the program helps participants learn skills to help them deal with problems such as inactivity, unhelpful thinking, worry, and avoidance. BounceBack has been proven to reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety and enhance overall well-being and quality of life.
Counselling Program (Brant Site)
Our program provides individual and group counselling services to persons 16 years of age and older, living with serious mental illness. The program uses a client-centred approach to assist in a person's recovery process and healing journey.

Family Support
Family members and friends providing support and other types of assistance to someone with a mental illness are also in need of information and support. Families are often in the position of providing assistance with daily living, emotional support, crisis support, finding services and information, financial assistance, and the list goes on.
