Welcome! Are you looking for support? Want to make a change in your life? I'd love to join you on your journey. I'm passionate about helping people heal and achieve their personal goals, hopes, and dreams. To me, counseling is an individualized process where I get to know you for the unique person you are to best offer support, collaborative problem solving, and resources to help get you where you want to go. People find me to be warm, compassionate, sincere and non-judgmental. I approach my work with holistic wellness in mind and am sensitive to the cultural backgrounds/intersectional identities of those I have the privilege of working with. Because of my expertise and commitment to empowering others, you can build upon your own inherent ability to navigate tough circumstances and the challenges life throws our way in work with me.

I received my Bachelor's in Human Development & Social Justice and my Master's of Social Work at Southern University at New Orleans. As an LCSW/LICSW, I'm licensed in Washington, Oregon, Utah, and Arizona with over 10 years experience in counseling. I use a variety of approaches including narrative therapy, existential therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, EMDR (not currently offering EMDR on BetterHelp), Gottman Method, Seeking Safety, solution focused brief therapy, motivational interviewing, harm reduction, creative expressive therapies, play therapy, and more. I have experience working with all ages- from birth to elders. My experience includes training other counselors, work in counseling centers, in integrated healthcare, in major teaching/research universities, in hospice/homecare, in non-profits, in schools and more in rural and urban areas. Some specialty areas of mine include life transitions, spirituality, trauma, grief, loss, depression, anxiety, relationships, LGBTQ issues, marginalization, personal growth, among others.

Outside of this work, I enjoy spending time in nature, growing food, being with my loved ones, creative projects, and exploring new places.

Everyone deserves support and I look forward to connecting! My biggest hope for our work together is that you will achieve the healing and growth you desire to both feel better and build a meaningful life worth living.

Darcy has been instrumental in helping me achieve clarity in my spousal relationship. She is a good listener while also providing guidance and insight into the patterns I describe within our relationship. She also provides writing prompts during the week to help with items I’ve described are challenging for me. I’d highly recommend Darcy to someone who needs help in dealing with personal relationships.

From day one of being matched with Darcy, she was helpful, considerate, and supportive. Our sessions have been used to talk about what has been most pressing in my week or exciting. She often sends me journal prompts or assignments that I can complete during the week as I find helpful. So far I’m really happy with her work as my therapist!

I started counseling with Darcy for a troubled 33 year marriage. While I was waiting for the 1st phone appt. we were emailing & found it moved into a divorce. She has been compassionate, patient and honest with me as I work with my relationships with my ex-husband, kids, and friends. Darcy has recommended Groupinars she thinks might be helpful, and they have been.

Darcy is extremely easy to talk to, friendly, and very knowledgeable. I feel super comfortable speaking with her and I really like that she can listen to my thoughts and feelings and validate them by expressing her understanding. She is non-judgmental and extremely supportive and encouraging. I would highly recommend her!

Darcy has been a tremendous help. She listens attentively and creates a safe environment where one can express freely. Her reasonings and perspectives are supportive and open minded while keeping a professional tone at all times.

Darcy is great! I really appreciate the time she takes to make me feel heard, and address what's currently going on with me, not just the initial reason I started therapy. She gives me "homework" (which I asked for), and it helps remind me to take a moment and work on myself, even if I can't do it right then. She empathetic and knowledgeable, and I look forward to our weekly sessions.

I've only met with Darcy once so far, but I'm excited to continue with her. She is welcoming, warm and caring. I felt comfortable with her very quickly. She's already offered great advice and made me feel validated in my feelings.

Working with Darcy was an absolute joy; I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity. Conversation was always upbeat and solution-oriented, ensuring I always left feeling good about my situation and having a clear idea of what to do next. Just a really nice, smart, good person to listen and reflect with; exactly what I needed for this moment in my life, and I'm nothing but grateful.

Darcy has interesting ways of reframing, or questioning my issues which has allowed me to work through them. Or at least start to open myself up to the work. She also is very supportive and validating, always giving me space to speak and always responding to subtler things, along with the overarching concerns. Darcy is great!
