Their symptoms and behavior can severely impact family life.
Children and adolescents may be experiencing a behavioral health illness such as:
-Adjustment difficulties or life changes
-Depression
-Anxiety
-Attention Deficit Disorder
-Drug or alcohol abuse
-Other psychiatric disorders
Our goal is to stabilize the situation and return the young patient to emotional well-being. Several levels of care are offered to meet these needs. All services are offered on the Palmetto Health Baptist campus.
Day Treatment (Adult Outpatient Psychiatry)
Palmetto Health's Day Treatment is a program offered to adults facing emotional/mental health difficulties that are interfering with their daily functioning.
This may include the inability to perform at work or school, feeling overwhelmed by their normal daily routine or having frequent thoughts of suicide. Along with receiving an individualized approach to treatment, patients in Day Treatment also enjoy the freedom to return home each day, while still receiving effective treatment to meet their needs.
Your bill reflects all of the services you receive during your stay. Charges fall into two categories:
1. A basic daily rate that includes your hospital room, meals, nursing care, housekeeping and general upkeep costs.
2. Charges for specific services that include items your physician orders for you, including medications, anesthesia, oxygen, special treatments, dressings, and X-rays or laboratory tests.
In addition to your hospital bill, you will receive bills from doctors who independently bill for their services. These bills will be for doctors who directly cared for you and doctors who you did not see in person. These bills are for professional services rendered by these doctors in diagnosing and interpreting test results while you were a patient.
Pathologists, radiologists, cardiologists, anesthesiologists, certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNA) and other specialists perform these services and are required to submit separate bills. If you have questions about these bills, please call the number printed on the statement(s) you receive from them.
